They are light weight but still look like a quality productRequirement to use..Your PC must have the ability to trasmit DP through your USB-C in order to use. Most modern laptops have this feature. If you are in doubt you can test with a relatively inexpensive USB-C to HDMI or DP (Displayport) cable first.UseI have this setup on a large screen tv for occasion use to hook up to a laptop to my TV remotely. It works well with no issues. The transmitter can even "rest" neatly on top of the transmitter which acts as a "dock" or sorts to help you store the transmitter when not in use. The fact that a USB hub is included is great as I typically am using a dock on my laptop anyhow. The only thing I could do to improve the product is to add a PD passthrough so I can charge while using.Great for Old VGA Projector?This actually allows me to use my old (still working great) projector which only has VGA PC inputs.Final thoughtsThis is a great wireless video transmitter for Thunderbolt USB-C or USB-C w/ DP. It works well and has great extra features. I recommend it!

This device is great for haring video from your laptop to any 1080p HDTVMy computer is a Dell G7 17 7790 laptop that is a couple of years old with the correct USB C port (the important part).My HDTV is a recent model Samsung HDTV.The most important part mentioned in the description is that your computer must have DisplayPort Alternate mode (DP Alt) signaling or Thunderbolt 3 technology through the USB-C port to pass video signal to the extender. If you are not sure look up the specs on your computer. THIS DEVICE ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT WORK if your PC does not meet the requirements.I connected the transmitter to my laptop and receiver to my tv. The receiver needs USB power to function and most newer TVs have a free USB port (the cable is supplied).I could not get a video signal right away so I did a resync on both devices and it worked like a charm.It transmitted the VIDEO and AUDIO signal to my tv just like I was looking at the computer screen.It played a streaming movie with no issue but I could see the tiniest amount of jitter during action sequences but it was not bad enough to be an issue.Overall this is a good device for sharing video from a laptop to a TV if you need to.I would get this item again.

I got this to test out, and holy cow this thing is impressive! For kicks I had it play a video, and it worked great! I wouldn't use it for gaming though, as there is a little bit of latency. It is a small latency, but I am pretty sensitive to that. If you need to hook your system wirelessly to a TV, I have not seen a setup better than this. I used this on my Dell Precision 5770, at a distance of about 10 feet or so.
