DisplayLink ports use a DisplayLink chip to extend displays using USB 3.0 data connectivity. They require drivers to be installed on the computer.

With most multiport adapters/hubs, some power (commonly between 4W and 15W, depending on I/O) is reserved for hub/downstream ports. If a hub that reserves 7.4W is used with a 60W USB-C power adapter, only 52.6W will be provided to the laptop via PD Passthrough.

Host USB-C Ports Without USB PD Support

Not all USB-C ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C standard. Multiport adapters/hubs can connect to a host laptop’s USB-C port that doesn’t support USB Power Delivery. However, in this configuration, if a power adapter is connected to the multiport adapter/hub, it will not pass power through to the host laptop.

For laptops:

Unfortunately, our parallel products are not compatible with the software dongle key. Dongle key requires a legacy address to work. Our parallel products use a virtual address instead of a legacy address.

The memory address is set automatically by the motherboard's BIOS and can't be changed. One thing to try move the board to a different PCI slot, memory address might change.

Please check and make sure your switch is with IGMP function, and the IGMP function is open.

Cut off the input of source device, if TV displays "Please check the transmitter input signal" after about 10 seconds, please connect the source again, change and try another resolution.

Move the Transmitter and the Receiver in the same room to test if the connection works well, and please make sure all of below setting are correct.

2) Ensure that the HDMI source is turned ON and the correct HDMI Input is selected on the TV.

I’m converting my PC’s DVI signal to DisplayPort signal using a DVI to DisplayPort adapter. Will this work with the SIIG DisplayPort KVM switch?

Solution:

Converting a DVI signal to DisplayPort signal will not work with an HDMI display. However, this setup will work with a DisplayPort display.
