Great mouse for nasty shop hands

Great for the shop works like it should don't have to worry about the guys getting grease and oil all over the mouse at the work station it takes getting used to hitting the buttons and not having a scroll wheel but it works great and don't have to worry about it getting ruined from oily greasy dirty hands

Scroll is irritating, but otherwise a good mouse.

The buttons for scroll are pretty irritating (on a Linux system). They're slow, and often act like a middle click if you don't press and hold for the scroll to activate. Otherwise, it's fine for what it is - a waterproof mouse. I got it for shop use where it would see everything from sawdust to grease and other liquids, and it works fine.

    Industrial for sure

This is a great mouse if you need something industrial and nearly bomb-proof. It DOES take some getting used to as there is not a standard scroll wheel and the like, just buttons you push in it's place. It's odd at first, but in our application for some heavy equipment, it's great. The whole device is sealed so there isn't a concern of things getting into the mouse and causing any issues. Great for some situations - but I would not use it at home.

    quite heavy for a mouse

I do like this mouse, the waterproof feature is a huge plus, because I am clumsy and spill coffee on my desk every few weeks. Some things of note though is the buttons are a bit tricky to use, if you already have muscle memory using a scroll wheel. The buttons work well, it just takes some getting used to. I also kind of like how heavy this mouse is compared to ones I've had previously. Another feature I like is that there is an end cap for the USB plug for when it's not plugged in, that I really like, it prevents dust and debris from working it's way in to the plug when traveling.

    Waterproof Mouse

I wanted a mouse for my laptop. My laptop is almost never at my desk, and I prefer a mouse to the traditional track pad. Because I travel with my mouse, I love that this mouse is water resistant. I have not seen that with mice I’ve used in the past. This is a wired black, SIIG branded mouse. The buttons and skates are small traditional buttons, but the mouse has a nice reactivity. The finish is nice and allows for a good grip.-Nice Weight (it's heavier than some of my other mice, which I like)-Sturdy. You can tell the materials are quality, and I will not break this mouse easily.-Ergonomic Design (looks good and feels comfortable in my hand). I can use this all day without discomfort/fatigue. It may be a tad small and does require me to claw my hand some. But this is a finicky complaint. It is no less comfortable than other mice I’ve used.I am pleased with this mouse. It will serve its purpose.

    Great seal

This mouse is very quiet and doesn't have some of the more obnoxious clicking noises that standard paddle button mice do. The buttons for scrolling take a little bit to get used to but are an easy enough adjustment. It definitely holds up to the waterproof/dustproof seal it claims. I haven't found a single tear or weak point in it. It glides easily and feels very comfortable in the hand!

Fascinating waterproof mouse. Works great. Slower to control than conventional mouse.

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this SIIG Wired Computer Waterproof Mouse.2. The current price of ~$40 is reasonable.LIKES:- Excellent durable mouse for harsh environments, such as in my shop.- It is dustproof as well as waterproof (IP68).- USB cord has a waterproof cover when mouse is not in use.- Quality is great.- Covers all the mouse bases, including a scroll wheel.DISLIKES:- Slower to control than a regular mouse with an actual scroll wheel.

Works and seems indestructible, but I like my regular mouse better

This mouse plugged in to my Linux box as a straight replacement for my usual scrollwheel mouse, and worked with absolutely NO problems, just swapped the plugs and it worked...The mouse is comfortable to use, it fit my hand well, and the rubber coating felt good and gave a nice solid grip. The buttons are raised bumps which makes them easy to locate, and push w/ very low effort. The left and right buttons are smaller than the 'paddle' buttons on my usual mouse, but seem to naturally fall where they are easy to push, so not a problem.... There are six slider spots on the bottom so it moves nicely. It also seems to work well on a variety of surfaces including my blue jeans, paper, skin, and more, so no mouse pad needed. The three buttons that replace the scroll wheel are a bit more of a problem. They push easily and aren't that hard to locate, but take getting used to. It is also a bit of a stretch to move between the up and down buttons.... The up and down buttons move the screen about 5 lines per push, which seems like a reasonable amount. if held down they then 'auto-repeat' after a few seconds delay. I don't like this as much as a scroll wheel, but it seems like a reasonable solution to getting that sort of function without all the failure points that come with a scroll wheel.I could not get the described function of "Press and Scroll - The middle button works as the scroll wheel on the regular mouse. Just press once and move up or down to scroll the page." to work. It always just acted like a scroll wheel click. (This might be a fixable configuration thing, I didn't check)The mouse is very well sealed, and seems very ruggedly built and fairly indestructible.... I'd expect it to be very well suited to hostile environments like wet locations, machine shops, or where it is getting frequently cleaned. The only real potential weak spots I can see is the skin over the buttons, which might eventually wear out or rip, but it feels about as thick and rugged as one can get and still have the buttons be usable....There is also a rubber cover for the USB plug, which fits well, but seems a lot larger than really needed.Bottom line, I think this is a great mouse for use in situations that would kill a typical mouse, but will probably switch back to my regular mouse in more normal use conditions as I find the scroll wheel nicer to use.
