It send a 1080p image to my Xreal 2 Air Pro glasses, but no sound. I still have to connect headphones to my Xbox controller to get sound.

If you are using NReal Air (or I supposed their rebranded ZReal Air 2 AR glasses) with the Steam Deck you are not only living the future, but you probably want this adapter. It is the required piece in order to include a docked setup or a charging option during use.

Plug the Steam Deck into the Hub as normal, connect the mouse and keyboard to the hub through the USB ports, then plug in the AR glasses, such as the Xreal, into the HDMI port on the hub through this device. Works perfectly! You cannot use one of those charge and play splitters as the power side does not transfer data and acts as a block between the hub and the Steam Deck communicating.

USB-A port does power the external monitor. I was about to return because it kept flashing. I decided to just hold down the brightness on my external monitor until it finally worked. You can only use your external monitor at about 25% brightness. I don't like this, but it literally is the only option I have found to work on my USB-C monitor. I use this one because it's mobile.

Works to connect the nreal air 1 to steam deck with sound and power pass through . I thought it stopped working so i bought a second. Turned out something in the os was goofed up (deleted kscreen folder to remove saved hdmi settings).

I tried a few cheaper converters until I decided to give the this model a try. It worked perfectly the first time, now I can use the ROKU on my PC monitor.Fully recommend.

So, this technically works with the Xreal glasses. You will get a picture through the Nebula app for Windows. I couldn't get rid of the screen tearing, and the colors were wrong except the left edge of the left eye screen. Works great for the screen being stuck in front of your face, but for AR mode, forget it...

Bought this for use with a pair of xReal air AR glasses. It works perfectly! It has audio and data pass through, as well as video of course. Allows me to use my computer without USB-C alternate mode to drive the glasses.The size isn't terrible, it's smaller than some of the USB hubs I have, so bringing this along with my laptop hasn't been an issue either.

I have 2 portable monitors, each powered by USB-C. My smaller 13 inDell monitor works great with this cord! I bought this to work with Playstation, so when plugged into my 16in ASUS with speakers, the cord doesn't provide enough power.This cord only provides 1 amp, where my ASUS requires more than that (2 amps?). Be careful what you're buying.

I was only getting 720p max when I tried using this to connect my Windows PC to an LG Ultrafine. My fault -- the product description says it does not work with LG Ultrafines. I mean -- it does work -- just not to the monitor's full capabilities. I tried different USB-C cables, and with and without the additional Micro USB power.(After doing some additional research, I tried a Club 3D CAC-1333 cable, and that works perfectly fine -- full 4K, using the same USB-C cables that I tried with the SIIG. The CAC-1333 also does *NOT* have a Micro USB port for additional power -- which worried me -- but it still works perfectly fine.)

Performs as expected, using it with Nreal Air glasses, seems to be working just fine on max brightness.Using it with Steam Deck (for playing while charging, since Deck has only one USB-C port it requires this adapter and USB-C HUB with HDMI and PD passthrough in order to have Nreal glasses powered) as well as my laptop and PC (which do not have/support DP-alt mode on USB-C port), 10/10 - would recommend.

The only adapter that got 2 LG UltraFine displays working on my m1 Mac mini, I tried literally every single cable and adapter I could think of/find. I spent $250+ on cables and adapters…none worked but this.There’s a bit of adjusting that needs to get it working 100% but it’s pretty simple and straightforward.I posted a video on a major video sharing website as well detailing my steps to get the configuration working 100%

I have an Asus portable USB-C monitor and this runs it but I have to keep the screen really dim. Powering through micro usb may have not been the best idea. Other than power delivery issues it works great.

Suppose your USB-C port on your laptop doesn't support external video (DP Alternate Mode), and you have an HDMI port available. In that case, this is what you need to connect to an external USB-C monitor that has no other video connection available. This is a rare item, and I looked extensively for it. Still, it is typical of SIIG to develop the right video converter adapter when nobody else has bothered to do it. This is a one-way connection from the laptop HDMI port to the USB-C external monitor port. It does NOT work the other way around. It was a tad pricey, but it did the job.

I have an LG 5K monitor as my do everything display. It’s the latest “L” model so it can receive 4K input over display port alt mode via USB-C. I wanted to connect my PlayStation 4 to it so I could play Gran Turismo 7 on my existing setup without getting a different monitor. This adapter worked exactly as I hoped. I just had to go into the settings on the PS4 and force it to 1080p. The menu said it wasn’t supported but it works fine and looks great. If I get a PS4 Pro or a PS5 I will update this review after trying 4K.

The only thing that will cause you grief is if you're using the wrong cable type to connect from the HDMI adapter to the USB-C port on the back of your LG Ultrafine. You have to use the right cable. And no, I have no idea what the right cable is, because there is no label or other identifier on the one that finally worked right for me. I just know that I tried several cables until I found one that worked. Is that helpful? Nope. But does the product work? 100%, at the native 4K resolution of my second Ultrafine...provided you use the right cable :)
