Great for managing multiple PCs

Works well controlling four computers seamlessly. Make sure the monitor is big enough to clearly view the 4-way viewing mode.

High quality, full featured HDMI KVM switch

SIIG isn't exactly a 'household name' among average consumers but in their niche--professional IT/AV solutions--they're very well regarded. There's been some talk that KVM switches are outmoded as more 'virtual KVM' platforms appear. At this point, I'm not sold. The virtual KVM solutions I've tried still don't work as well as their physical counterpart, at least at the higher end. Maybe you can replace a lower end/entry level KVM with a virtual equivalent but when you're talking use cases that rely on broadcast quality video IMO you need a quality physical solution. That's what we have here. This item allows you to control four full HD HDMI computers with one keyboard, mouse and display. You can do this in one of three display modes: switching between a single view, or one of two quad view modes. All three work great. I tested four different computers with three different operating systems (Ubuntu, Win 11, Mac OS) and it worked well in all of the supported modes. I was particularly impressed with the single view mode--as they suggest in the product description switching is seamless. As always with devices like this 'your mileage may vary' depending on your hardware resources and use cases. Given the performance I saw in testing I'd be willing to wager that it could handle most use cases of any difficulty. Highly recommended!
