Well made 4 port USB hub in an aluminum enclosure

The Siig 4-port USB hub is made in PRC (China). The hub has 2 USB-C and 2 USB-A high speed ports. My only issue is that anything connected via the hub has to be low power. There is not enough power to handle more than one moderate power hungry device alone. As a compact USB hub, this works well as long as you stay in the limitations.4 stars

Worked for me as described in promotional material.

I am using this with two drives permanently plugged in - one to a c port and the other to the a port. They functioned as expected. In view of the negative comments by some users, it may be that there is a quality control issue or an issue that exists in the user's other equipment. In any event, a purchaser should monitor performance and return the hub if it shows any of the problems described in the 1, 2 and 3 star reviews.

Performs as expect, the cable is a little on the short side

Got this for plugging things such as card readers into my Mac mini. it is easier than fumbling around with the back of the Mac. the cable is a bit short for my purpose but would probably be long enough for a laptop on the go. The performance of the drives does not seem change whether plugged directly into the Mac or through this hub.

Nice extension for a single port USB-C computer.

I liked the extension capability since I have only a single USB-C port on my computer. As usual, SIIG devices are of great quality and are well thought out in design.

Very sturdy, responses quickly when connecting devices.

The SIIG has improved my transfer by 10 times or more depending on the age and trans rate max of each device. I have some older ext hard drives as well as ssd drives. Good quality I like it!

Excellent port expander. Confirmed USB 3.1 Gen2 speeds (up to 10 gbps)

This is very similar to the Juiced Systems QuadHub. Really the only difference is the slightly different color and the logos. You should buy the cheaper of the two which is probably the SIIG.There is no difference in speed between USB 3.1 Gen2 and USB 3.2 Gen2.I confirmed the speed using a 2017 Macbook Pro with BlackMagicDesign Disk speed test, ADATA USB SE800 external SSD and both the Juiced System and the SIIG hubs. The two hubs performed the same. I get the same speed (well, very close, its never always the same) directly connected to the Macbook Pro as I do with either USB Gen2 hub which is a littler under 900 MB/s . The speed is also achieved using both USB-C and USB-A cables.This is a really good hub.
