Bought this for a special event and the item was plug and play.

Great product, easy to setup. We have one TV working over 60ft away with a great sharpe picture. You will need to order or have on hand all the HDMI cables, as none are included.

Once I figured out how to make the proper CAT5 crimp on ends it was a piece of cake very easy to use I love the infrared part awesome product thank you

What a dissapointment... I wrote an original review for this product as very satisfied customer.I bought 2 of them. After 6 months I am looking for another approach / product:Splitter #13 out of the 8 outputs blink (black screen randomly appears). 2 have little green spots on darker colors.Splitter #2:2 blink. 1 does not even work.Have changed the wires, connectors, and all possibly causing interferences... only temporal fix is power cycling... only for a couple of minutes

Great product for the money.

Used this product to eliminate cable boxes. Allowed me to run 4 TV sets in different rooms from one box. Product works well, but instructions are weak. Called technical support with a complex issue and received poor support. Bottom line, this is an excellent way to lower your cable bill, but not designed for the novice.

Bought this for an NVR IP security installation that needed to be seen in three different locations inside the same building. easy to install and it works great. the best part is I even have room to expand to another TV in the future if one is ever needed.

I bought this to distribute one DirecTV Mini Genie from my wiring closet to TV's in three different locations. It was relatively easy to set up and I was initially able to carry the remote control to each TV and control the Genie seamlessly via the IR link feature of the SIIG. However, the Mini Genies power off after being idle for several hours and after this happened I was not able to turn on the Genie from any of the TV's. I pressed the "reset" button on the SIIG receivers (which I assume resets the link to the transmitter) but still was not able to turn on the Genie. To get everything working again I had to go to the wiring closet and disconnect/connect the power to the SIIG transmitter. So apparently when the Genie shut off it caused some sort of connection problem either between the Genie and the Transmitter or between the Transmitter and Receivers. So I returned this SIIG for a refund and bought a similar item by gofanco. The gofanco unit works flawlessly even after sitting idle for several days.The seller e-TekDepot contacted me to investigate the problem and we communicated by email and phone. They said the SIIG unit is virtually identical to the gafanco, inside and out, and their is not reason it should not function the same. They concluded the connection failure was due to a faulty IR transmitter circuit and offered to replace both the transmitter and receiver.
