2-Port DisplayPort 1.2 Smart Console KVM Switch with USB 3.0 and Multi-Media Ports - 4K@60Hz

I've tried several KVMs over the last year to just work like they're supposed to and handle a 49" widescreen in at 120Hz. A couple of cheaper ones were the closest before this but were always just missing something. I tried more expensive ones like the IOGEAR line, but it couldn't handle anything: my Logitech G815 keyboard, Brio 4k cam, or the G502 hero mouse would constantly not work or repeat keys...not to mention the 5120x1440 video was a no go.Works perfect with a Samsung LC49G95T (49" curved widescreen display) at 5120x1440, 120Hz. The gaming system is running a RTX3080, while the work laptop is, well, a basic work laptop with a dock. Swapping back and forth never scatters where I have my windows set up and is rather immediate. Both systems are running Windows 11 Pro.My only cautionary bit of advice is that, if you're *really* into gaming/graphics (you're probably not into KVMs anyhow), this switch will not handle HDR or higher end features the RTX3080 lines and up can do. That said, it states very clearly in the description that it stops at DP 1.2 spec and does not do HDR, but just in case you were hoping for something, it holds true to its description.This is the first of at least 6 KVMs I've tried over the past year that actually just worked. It did everything it said it could with no weird bugs or inability to handle graphics, customizable keyboards/mice, or solid camera performance. Could the DisplayPort be 2.0 or could it have some customizable features, sure. But it never claimed to AND it just works!

I have a Samsung CRG9 49" Curved Gaming Monitor (5120x1440 resolution), a high-end gaming PC with RTX 3080TI graphics card, and a 2018 16" MacBook Pro. I connected them all into this switch with DP and USB cables/connections per the instructions. I honestly didn't think it would work at this resolution at all.BUT IT DID! It works well, with one exception below that you might want to read if you are a software developer or similar professional. Switching from the gaming PC to the MacBook Pro took 2-3 seconds. But switching from the MacBook Pro back to the gaming PC took 8-9 seconds because the CRG9 searches through all the inputs again to find the active one - if you own any of the Samsung 49" gaming monitors you have seen this behavior before. And it worked with the full 5120x1440 resolution on the CRG9.The EDID emulation worked as well. When I switched between machines all of my programs/windows on-screen stayed put - they did not move or get rearranged. This is the first DP KVM Switch that I seen do this correctly. With one exception...On my MacBook Pro I run Parallels with several VM's including a Windows 10 VM. When I switched from the MacBook Pro inside the Windows 10 VM to my gaming PC, then back again the resolution is fine, but the open programs/windows all get rearranged. I tried a lot of settings and what not but was not able to find a solution for this. Unfortunately this was a show-stopper for me since much of my software development is done on Windows. NOTE: I also tried a TESmart HDMI KVM switch and the EDID emulation in that unit worked within the Windows 10 VM as well. But that switch did not support the 5120x1440 resolution at all - bummer.I posted this review since there was only 1 other review at the time of this writing and I wanted to let others know that I was impressed with this unit overall. It is a high quality unit with metal construction, firm connectors, solid switches, etc. It is expensive, but it worked as advertised with everything except for the one issue above. I hope this review helps others make a better purchasing decision.
