USB 3.0 Connectivity Solutions Coming Soon from SIIG!
(Fremont, California; October 20, 2009) SIIG, the market leader in I/O connectivity products (including Serial ATA and Ultra ATA Controllers, FireWire®, USB, and legacy I/O adapters), is proud to announce a complete line of USB 3.0 solutions coming soon.
SIIG’s first introduction of new products based on the new USB 3.0 standard include: the USB 3.0 2-Port PCIe, USB 3.0 2-Port PCIe i/e, and 2-Port ExpressCard/34. All of SIIG USB 3.0 host adapters offer an amazing transfer rate of 5.0Gb/s and are scheduled to ship to market in late 2009. The USB 3.0 2-Port ExpressCard/34 is scheduled to ship in January, 2010.
SIIG’s USB 3.0 host adapters and Expresscard /34 products offer a reliable solution for Desktop, Server, and Thin-Client computers to connect to USB 3.0 peripherals. The 3.0 architecture is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices.
Other SIIG USB 3.0 products including the 2.5” & 3.5” USB 3.0 to SATA 3Gb/s enclosures, SATA 3Gb/s to USB 3.0 docking station w/cooling fan and USB 3.0 to eSATA adapter will be available to market by February to Mid March 2010. These devices will have a lifetime warranty.
