(Fremont, California; February 12, 2010) SIIG, the market leader in I/O connectivity products (including Serial ATA and Ultra ATA Controllers, FireWire®, USB, and legacy I/O adapters), earned recognition as one of the world’s first manufacturers to achieve the SuperSpeed USB consumer device compliance and certification by the USB-IF (Universal Serial Bus-Implementers Forum) for its SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to SATA 3Gb/s Docking with Fan (SIIG Part# SC-SA0D12-S1). The USB-IF Compliance and Certification program is the gold standard for testing USB products ensuring product quality and interoperability. Manufacturers may acquire SuperSpeed USB certification and display the SuperSpeed USB logo on their products once it passed the USB 3.0 quality assurance and compliance testing.
SIIG’s SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to SATA 3Gb/s Docking Station delivers a backward-compatible interconnect that offers improved data transfer rates up to 10x faster than Hi-Speed USB 2.0 as well as offering optimized power management. Other features of this product include: backwards compatibility with previous versions of SATA hard disks, compliant with Serial ATA Specification Revision 2.6, support 2.5” and 3.5” hard drives up to 2TB capacity and hot-swap.
