Common features of all of SIIG's SATA RAID Bay Enclosures include:

• Hardware-based RAID - CPU performance & system bus bandwidth is reed from RAID operations, which is superior to driver-based or software-based RAID
• Connects directly to the host computer via standard Serial ATA interface - no add-on card or extra driver needed
• Automatically detects drive failure and immediately alerts users via the front panel LED & buzzer
• Automatic on-line data rebuilding and on-line bad sector recovery
• Java-based GUI (graphical user interface) for remote monitoring of system status (drive health conditions and progress of data rebuilding) and notification (via email)
• Hot-swappable hard-disks, Key lock provides security against unauthorized access
• Easy to install - installs in two standard 5.25" drive bays
• OS-independent, driverless - no driver needed on host side

SIIG's new line of Serial ATA RAID enclosures include the SATA RAID 1 Bay Enclosure (SIIG part # SC-000061-S1, SRP $329.99), the unique and cost-effective SATA RAID 1+Backup Bay Enclosure (SIIG part # SC-000041-S1, SRP $369.99), and the SATA RAID 5/0 Bay Enclosure (SIIG part # SC-000081-S1, SRP $439.99). SATA RAID 1 Bay Enclosure

• Hardware RAID 1 (mirroring) - Data is written simultaneously to two hard drives, maintaining a constant mirror of data.
• RAID operation implemented at block level, and works with all types of data & drive formats.

SATA RAID 1+Backup Bay Enclosure

• Unique hardware RAID & backup solution in one single product to provide users with the most comprehensive data protection solution. Save money by combining both into one economical solution.
• Hardware RAID 1 (mirroring) - Data is written simultaneously to two hard drives, maintaining a constant mirror of data.
• Unique data backup function - configure backup scheduling easily via user friendly GUI to backup daily, weekly, monthly, or instantly with "Backup Now" function.
• Backup is a D2D (disk-to-disk) solution, simplifying backup tasks & cost. Hardware based backup is faster, easier to use, and more reliable than tape or software backup, with no performance loss.
• RAID operation implemented at block level, and works with all types of data & drive formats.
• Functions as a single disk drive (with one hard disk), as RAID 1 (with two disk drives), or RAID 1+Backup (with 3 hard disks).

SATA RAID 5/0 Bay Enclosure

• Hardware RAID 5 (striped with parity) & RAID 0 (striping) - Uses proprietary ASIC for on-line processing, data striping and parity calculation, delivering excellent IO performance & efficient operations, such as fast disk rebuilding and on-line data recovery for bad sectors.
