What is MST?
An MST (Multi-Stream Transport) is a DisplayPort standard technology that allows the transmission of multiple video and audio streams over a single DisplayPort (or mini DisplayPort) connection on a desktop or laptop (supports USB-C cables using DP Alt Mode).
MST hub configuration function:
Connect multiple monitors to a single DisplayPort output on your computer. Splits the signals into multiple streams, allowing each monitor to display its own independent content. Ideal for graphic design, video editing, data analysis, or gaming.
*Note:
- Ensure that your computer or video source, graphics card, and monitors support the necessary DisplayPort 1.2 standard or later and full functionality
- MacOS operating system does not support MST function and it is only supported to use the mirror mode for all displays when extend the display from laptop, it is also can be call "SST mode”

Before Buying DisplayPort MST Hub
• Compatibility: Check if your computer or video source has a DisplayPort output and the DisplayPort version on the MST hub is the same as your device.
• Operating System: Windows® 7 / 8 / 10 or later and update the video driver to the latest (MacOS® doesn’t support MST function and only mirror the displays).
• Graphics Card: With DisplayPort 1.2 or later in your computer. Each graphics card has a limitation on the maximum number of displays they can drive simultaneously.
• Display Support: Determine the number of displays you need and check the maximum resolution and refresh rate to meet your requirements.
